ZakhoTransfer: building football careers from Zakho to the world

When Dana Yakub founded ZakhoTransfer, the goal was simple but ambitious: to give Iraqi and Kurdish footballers a level of representation that matched their talent.

In this interview, he reflects on the agency's journey — from a single office in Zakho to a network spanning the country — and on the players who have grown alongside it.

His message to young footballers is consistent: trust the process, work relentlessly, and let your performances open the doors. The agency's job is to make sure the right doors are there to open.
